ASAttributeDataAsset

The basic attribute configuration for the attribute system is defined using the ASAttributeDataAsset data asset.

You can create an ASAttributeDataAsset by right-clicking in the Content Browser panel, selecting Attribute System, and then selecting ASAttributeDataAsset.

This field is used to set the number of attribute points gained per level increase.

You can increase the value of primary attributes (Primary) by spending attribute points, while also changing the value of secondary attributes (Base) or special attributes (Special).

bAutoFillBaseAttributeByPrimary

Optional option to automatically populate the base property list with master properties.

If checked, when you edit a master property, the base or special property list will be automatically populated based on the property relationship list. If true, the master property list will be automatically populated with the base or special property list. If false, nothing will happen.

PrimaryAttributes

This is where you configure first-level properties.

This is a list structure. The left side shows basic attribute information, including:

• AttributeTag: This is the GameplayTag you added in 1 Introduction to the Attribute System.
• AttributeName: This is an interface attribute used to display the attribute's name in the interface.
• BaseValue: The base value of the attribute.
• HasCurrentValue: Whether the attribute has a current value. (This is useful for health, mana, energy, stamina, shields, etc.)
